This Privacy Policy sets forth the privacy practices in effect at the Global Music Project.org website.

What Information Is Collected and How is it Used?

A. General Collection and Use of Personal Identifying Information
We will only collect and use personal identifying information (such as a first and last name, physical address including a street name, e-mail address, etc.) when a user voluntarily provides it to us. If a credit card is used we take special care to keep the information safeguarded from misuse or abuse. In order to use some portions of this website, a user must first complete a registration form or provide an e-mail address. We will use the personal identifying information we collect to establish the identity of account holders and we will retain this information. We also may use that personal identifying information to improve and customize our content. In order to contact us by e-mail, you must provide an e-mail address.

The mission of Global Music Project is to create a global organization committed to bettering the world through music. As part of that mission, we may periodically send e-mails inviting adult users who provided their information to visit the Web site for news, new offers, or information about how users can support our work.

Users can revoke their consent at any time to stop their information from being used for informational and promotional purposes by sending an e-mail request to privacy@globalmusicproject.org or at the time of registration, they can opt not to receive news of Web site activities, surveys, solicitations and similar items.

B. Collection of Non-Personal Identifying Information
We collect and use non-personal identifying information, including IP addresses and Web server log files, to track trends, administer the Web site, track user movement, and gather demographic information.

We use this non-personal identifying information in the aggregate. We do not combine these types of non-personal identifying information with personal identifying information. We may also share aggregated demographic information with our business partners, sponsors, advertisers, and others.

Cookies and Web Service Log File Data
We may use cookies or other tracking devices that store data in a user's computer so that we can provide the best possible user experience.

Information for Parents
Some musical content on the Global Music Project site may not be suitable for children. We do, however, attempt to keep such material in an ÒadultÓ music category. We want the Global Music Project experience to be entertaining and globally empowering.

Global Music Project has taken steps to ensure that personal identifying information collected in the future is secure, and we have limited the number of people who have access to the information by electronic security systems and password protections that guard against unauthorized access. Global Music Project may provide links to websites outside of Global Music Project.org. These websites may not have the same privacy policies as Global Music Project.org. We urge users to read the privacy statement of an outside Web site when leaving our site and linking to an outside website. Children who leave the Global Music Project website should be warned not to give out information online at the linked site without getting permission from their parents.
